Whether you’re facing a car breakdown, in need of a tow, find yourself stranded with a flat tyre or have simply run out of fuel – the last thing you need it to find yourself in a flat panic not knowing who to call.
Most people would just report to phoning a family member to come out and give them a jump start, but few of us realise that with a MotorVaps Service plan, you are entitled to a certain amount of roadside assistance benefits which are automatically bundled into your package at no additional cost.
The roadside assistance offered by MotorVaps through the service plan includes:
Motorvaps Roadside Assistance
- Changing of a flat tyre (changed to your own spare tyre)
- Out of fuel call-out (cost of fuel is for your own account)
- Jumpstart (this is limited to twice per year, any call-outs for this service after your allocation will be for your own account)
- Mobile battery replacements (for your own account)
- Key lockout service for your vehicle
- In the event of a vehicular breakdown, Motorvaps will arrange authorised towing to an approved RMI repairer.
Motorvaps offers a 24 hour, 365 day towing service to policy holders.
If the covered vehicle breaks down more than 100km from your home, Motorvaps will reimburse you for accommodation upon receipt of your invoice. This benefit is only covered in plans where it is explicitly included.
All benefits listed above are covered in accordance with your specific Motorvaps plan; be sure to check if your plan of choice covers these components.
This is all in addition to having full coverage for included items within your warranty!
If you experience a non-emergency claim (for example, your car won’t start but is parked safely in your driveway), submit your claim by following the below steps:
You must report all claims to us and take the vehicle to a manufacture appointed Franchised or RMI (Retail Motor Industry) registered facility within 7 days of becoming aware of the break down or failure otherwise the claim will not be accepted.
If you are unable to contact such a dealer, contact the CLAIMS OFFICE DURING NORMAL OFFICE HOURS.
